Earned his first Major League win July 31 at Arizona, tossing a scoreless inning of relief... Was even-keeled against both lefties and righties, keeping hitters to a .160/.150 respective average... Proved to be incredibly effective at home, limiting the opposition to just seven hits and a .097 average across 22 games this season... Saw his first Major League action with the Marlins, allowing 10 runs (nine earned) in 4.1 innings (18.69 ERA) in five relief appearances...Made his MLB debut on July 25 at Philadelphia, allowing two runs in 0.2 innings and taking the loss in the Marlins’ 7-1 defeat…struck out the first big league hitter he faced, Didi Gregorius Spent the majority of the season at the Alternate Site…placed on the injured list from Aug. 2-29.
2019
Had a breakout 2019 campaign, combining to go 7-2 with a 1.76 ERA in 38 appearances (one start) across three levels of the Marlins’ system…had a dominant stint in Double-A, striking out 25 in 16.1 scoreless innings over nine relief appearances...Posted 100 strikeouts against just 19 walks in 66.2 innings Limited opposing hitters to a .187 average with a .095 WHIP...Following the season, played for Salt River in the Arizona Fall League and tossed 10.1 scoreless innings in nine outings.
2018
In his first professional action, went 4-0 with a 1.35 ERA in 14 games with the Rookie-level GCL Marlins and shortseason Batavia...Posted a .242 opponents’ batting average with 38 strikeouts against seven walks in 33.1 innings.
